Audubon Christmas Bird Counts : Dec 21, 2024 -Jan 4, 2025

In 1900, Frank Chapman had this novel idea to count birds instead of shooting them. Wow!

Worldwide, >10,000 participants look for birds in >2,600 circles in all 50 states and >20 countries mid-Dec to early Jan of each season www.audubon.org/community-science/christmas-bird-count/history-christmas-bird-count

    Thanks to all who participated in searching for birds, hosting birders and tacking the giant tasks of organizing the groups before the count and compiling the data afterwards!
