II. BOOT CAMPS

2-day workshops with half the day indoors, the other half outdoors while all the time honing our birding and naturalist skills

III. CITY NATURE CHALLENGE

Last year, the 12-county San Antonio area dominated the challenge ranking 3rd in the WORLD! This year the goal is 2,025 participants in 2025. As in 2024, we are offering a number of trainings, walks and talks to prepare.

IV. GLOBAL BIG DAY/WEEKEND

How many species can you find in one day? weekend? Come see as we bird 2 adjacent but different habitats – Uvalde desert and Vanderpool Hill Country. Lodges at Lost Maples is our partner for lodging that weekend. Of course, you can book a Big Day or Big Weekend anytime of the year and at any location.

V. NATURE GETAWAYS

River Oaks Courts in Medina TX, our 2nd Saturday Nature Talk host, is offering many nature and lodging packages

  • Wellness (nature walk, yoga, meditation) : April 3-6 and May 22-25

  • Nature walk : May 8-10 (Mother's Day Weekend)

  • Butterfly Count : centered around 2nd Thursday in June (dates yet to be finalized)
