Have not heard the final species count yet but our group came up with 39 species. Sadly, many sparrows and raptors refused to stand up and be counted. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the day was the 80 degree weather. Kids and adults in bathing suits and going down the water slide on DECEMBER 30th!!!!! We LOVE Texas...but you already knew that ;>
